About Learning Enabled
Each student who comes to Learning Enabled works one-on-one with Becky Krafick Albury or Lindsey Schneider from start to finish. The process begins with a review of current information and an assessment to identify their strengths and weaknesses in the reading process. After a consultation with the parents, an individual learning plan is created to meet the needs of the learner. This plan is adjusted in real-time to the student’s needs as they progress. Parents are encouraged to become active participants in their child’s learning. Becky and Lindsey will work with the parents to better understand their child’s needs and provide strategies to reinforce what is covered in the session.

Becky Krafick Albury
Educational Therapist
CERI Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist
Becky has been working one-on-one to help children and adults in the South Florida area to remediate their reading difficulties since 2000. She is one of the few educational therapists in the state of Florida endorsed by the Association of Educational Therapists. Becky currently holds a Master of Education degree in Reading, and is a CERI Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist. She has been extensively trained in the Lindamood-Bell learning programs (LiPS, Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing), and also uses other programs such as RAVE-O, Great Leaps, Hear Builder, and MindPlay.
While she has built her reputation working with children and adults on reading, she is also able to address the difficulties presented in math. She is certified to teach the Multisensory Math program created by Marilyn Zecher. This unique approach to math addresses both conceptual and computational challenges through the use of manipulatives, pictures, and algorithms that promote a deep understanding of mathematical concepts that begin in elementary school and continue throughout the rest of their education.
Her previous work with private agencies consulting for reading students led her to see the gap in reading remediation that could be filled by the role of an educational therapist in the community. In 2012, she opened her own office in Weston. In the years since, Becky has continued to work with other professionals in the community of educators, both in the public and private sector to implement the high standards of service that she always wanted to provide.
What is CERI Certified?
The Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), is an affiliate of the International Dyslexia Association which issues certifications to those who possess the knowledge and skill necessary to implement Structured Literacy practices. Select CERI certifications are awarded only to those educators who have proven to have a meaningful impact on the rate of improvement for students who have trouble with reading, including those who have a Specific Learning Disability, or dyslexia. Structured literacy instruction and interventions provide a strong core of highly explicit and systematic teaching. It strengthens foundational skills such as decoding and spelling skills, as well as explicitly teaching other important components of literacy such as vocabulary, comprehension, and writing

Why We Do
What We Do

“I am beyond grateful to Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Becky. We discovered that our son was two years behind grade level when he was evaluated. His first school experience was very bad. He had zero confidence in himself. He was so worried and focused on failing that he couldn’t concentrate on his work. I can safely say that Ms. Lindsey , did not just help him get back to grade level, but was also a huge help in getting back his confidence. My son can now read fluently at a 3rd grade level and before he could not recognize all his letters and sounds.”
— Claudia

“Dear Ms Becky — I truly appreciate all the work you did with my son this past year. You helped make this school year a little easier for him. You filled in the gaps to build his foundation and started him on the right path to enter the next grade. Thank you for your patience, courtesy, and dedication. I know it was challenging with my son at times. Even when he complained, he knew how much you helped him – and he looked forward to seeing you.”
— Lourdes

“Dear Becky — Thank you so much for all you have done for my daughter. You have given her the skills that she will use for the rest of her life. You have also given her confidence and we can’t thank you enough for that. Your care and support have changed my child and have helped her grow. For that we will always be grateful.”

“My daughter struggled as a new reader, so we turned to tutoring services to address the gaps. I was fortunate to connect with Ms. Lindsey, who worked with my daughter weekly for the past year. As a result, we saw an improvement in my daughter’s reading proficiency and comprehension. The improvement was validated with her year-over-year standardized grade level testing results. Ms. Lindsey’s sessions are productive, interactive, and enjoyable for my daughter, with lots of games and a variety-targeting skills requirement. My daughter always looks forward to her sessions, and Ms. Lindsey is very thorough with updates on the lesson objectives and feedback. Thank you, Ms. Lindsey, and we are truly grateful for your help. It’s a great feeling as a parent to see your child’s reading proficiency improve, and I recommend your services to parents of kids of all ages and abilities.”
— Ben

“Dear Becky — I am so grateful for the time we spent together during 8th grade. Going into high school I thought English would be very difficult. However with a great teacher like you, it made the first semester feel like a breeze. You truly had a major affect on my life that has shaped me to be the successful student I am today. Although we had our ups and downs, you never gave up on me and pushed me to my full potential. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher to help me with my writing. I can’t thank you enough for everything.”
